Dear Family - fellow sons and daughters of God,

QUESTIONS

            I believe that questions are more important than answers. We almost always get answers to our questions, but often the question is wrong and so the answer doesn’t fit. Of course we still file it away in our corrupted thinking device and are unaware that we are in a fog.

God likes to challenge us and motivate us to find answers, but even more important, to ask the right questions. “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.” Pr. 25:2. This is our glory to find the right answers/questions.

In the light of questions being more important than answers…

Could the oil debacle in the Gulf be connected to “A third of the sea turned to blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed?” Rev. 8:9

Or, is this part of that which appears to be a judgment about the worship of the golden calf at the Mardi-Gras Parade, or the voodoo transplanted from devastated Haiti to the New Orleans/Biloxi coastal areas that was swept clean by Katrina, but now faces further disaster?

Or, is the oil spill still another evidence that we as the sons of God are lagging in our assignment to set creation free?

Can the prediction of Micah 7:13, “The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants, as the result of their deeds,” - can this prediction be overridden by the faith of the sons of God?

Should these questions even be considered in the light of the new covenant of grace, mercy, forgiveness, salvation, and healing in the finished work of Christ, Whose we are and Whom we represent as His literal body in the earth?

PERSONAL UPDATE

Betty and I are moving this month. We have located a nice apartment or condo in Laguna Woods, which used to be called Leisure World. Although the price to purchase these condos is high, there are a number of them for lease at an incredible bargain. Even those like us on minimal income can afford to live there.

I am stronger and healthier now than for the many months when I struggled with heart fibrillations. After the congestive heart failure, I did experience a frightening day in the Emergency Room with an episode of coughing up blood. That all seems to be under control now but I long to be free from the powerful drugs I am taking. All our afflictions are light and momentary, and, health and healing is the children’s bread.  This seeming contradiction raises more questions that I don’t have answers for - yet.

I added another teaching class on Thursday afternoons at The Effect in San Juan Capistrano. Anyone is welcome to attend, but the class was created for young men and women. It is from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. and is more of a basic Bible Study. My activities are many and varied, but the schedule now has four set gatherings for those interested: Tuesday morning in Vista, Tuesday afternoon in Oceanside, Thursday afternoon in San Juan, and Saturday mornings in Vista. May your faith be strong and clear. May it be the faith of and in the Christ Who lives in you. May your eyes be opened to watch His love and the ultimate fulfillment of His purposes in you and in the earth – to conform you to His image, and to unite all things in heaven and earth as one in Christ. “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
